Over 70 emerging interior designers attended Interior Designers for Legislation in New York (IDLNY)’s presentation on the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam last week at the Steelcase showroom in New York. Thom Banks, executive director of CIDQ, was the main presenter for the evening and explained how the qualifications could advance designers’ careers. IDLNY partnered with ASID New York Metro for the event, and ASID members who have passed the exam, including Benjamin Huntington, Kate Velasquez and Glenn Gissler, were on hand to answer questions.
“We had a great turnout for this fantastic event,” says Pamela Durante, president of IDLNY. “The attendees were very engaged and very interested to learn about taking their careers to the next level by taking the NCIDQ examination.”
