BOH caught up with Filippo Arnaboldi, CEO of Frette, to discuss the inspiration behind the brand’s latest introductions, which feature exciting new colorways and luxurious new materials.
How does this new collection build on or complement your other offerings?
Frette’s fall/winter 2020 collection is a celebration of Italian romance and intricate details. The newest pieces reimagine our timeless design motifs in fresh Celadon Green and Powder Pink colorways. Our entire assortment has been meticulously designed, allowing for countless styling possibilities for each individual client. This new collection pairs seamlessly with our foundational styles and colorways, creating the opportunity to refresh any look with a layer of texture or a pop of color.
What piece are you most excited to unveil?
I’m most excited for our Luxury Lozenge line, which features a radiant woven jacquard in a silk and cotton blend with a tone-on-tone lattice design inspired by European treillage. It’s available as both a bedspread and decorative pillows, and pairs perfectly with Net Lace, a delicate macrame lace sheet set hand-crafted from cotton sateen.
Tell us about the materials in this collection. Are there certain ones used throughout?
Jacquards are in Frette’s DNA, and our silk-blend jacquards are unparalleled in their beauty. They are not only intricate, but also luminous. In addition to our new Luxury Lozenge collection, our iconic Glowing Weave motif was reimagined in this season’s standout hue, Celadon Green.
Can the collection be customized? What kind of options are possible?
Our incredibly skilled specialists provide clients with design consultations and work hand-in-hand with them to create bespoke items. These custom projects are produced with the same high standards as all Frette products, designed especially to meet individual needs, whether they be monogramming, incorporating a specialized design or emblem, and producing custom sizing for a yacht or private jet.
How do you feel this collection pushes the brand forward?
We recently began a journey to extend Frette beyond the master bedroom, positioning it as a luxury lifestyle brand. This collection continues to build on that idea with new beyond-the-bedroom decorative pieces, including versatile throws and accent pillows, as well as loungewear for women and men. We like to say that with Frette, you can bring luxury wherever you go—and while many of us are spending more time at home lately, we know our clients will be bringing Frette with them when they begin to travel again.
