To celebrate a new beginning with WWRD Holdings Limited, Waterford Crystal today announced plans to open a new factory, retail outlet and visitor center in June 2010 in the brand's namesake city of Waterford, Ireland.
The facility will produce 40,000 luxury hand-crafted crystal pieces using traditional artisan methods for the opening, and serve as a brand laboratory for innovation and modern design.
On display will be the The Waterford Times Square Ball, the Faces and Places exhibit, which showcases specially commissioned Waterford Crystals pieces that have been presented to celebrities, presidents and dignitaries. The retail outlet will feature pieces from world famous designers such as John Rocha, Michael Aram and Jasper Conran.
