The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA), along with the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) and the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), has announced the winners of the 2011 interior design video competition, which aims to elevate awareness about the impact that interior design has on economic well-being.
First place: Kate Croy, Lauren Reinhard, Kelsey Keller, Lory Marsocci, Anna Beydoun, with Advisor Renee Walsh from Radford University.
Second place: Emily Erbes, Anya Robson, with Advisor Jihyun Song from Iowa State University.
Third place: Kristin Amundsen, Hannah Berryhill, Emily Sutton, with Advisor Carl Matthews from the University of Texas Austin.

CIDA is an independent, non-profit, accrediting organization responsible for setting standards and evaluating degree granting interior design programs. There are currently 172 CIDA-accredited programs in the U.S., Canada, and Qatar. IDEC is an international organization of interior design educators whose focus is on advancing interior design education and scholarship. NCIDQ is an organization of regulatory boards and provincial associations in the United States and Canada whose core purpose is to protect the health, life safety, and welfare of the public by establishing standards of competence in the practice of interior design.
