The Urban Electric Co. just revealed its first partnerships with designers outside of the United States, announcing new products by three London-based designers: Oro Bianco Interior Design, Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and Taylor Howes Designs.

“Over the years, we have been fortunate to expand a few client relationships into formal product collaborations with some of the industry’s most renowned design talent—our new collections are no exception,” said The Urban Electric Co. President and Founder Dave Dawson. “We are honored to align with each of these very talented designers. Each collaboration adds a very specific aesthetic to purposefully round out our offerings.”

The Urban Electric Co. collaborates with some of the most renowned architects and designers in the industry, including Amanda Nisbet, Tom Scheerer, Steven Gambrel, Darryl Carter and Richard Mishaan. The company has introduced several collections over the last few years, all of which have been with designers based in the United States.

The launch of these collections is part of a larger company push to engage more with the international design community and to become a primary resource for designers and architects all over the world.

“London is a great market for us,” said Laura Pelzer, VP Sales and Marketing for the company. “Our products have always been well-received for our commitment to quality and design. As one of the world’s top design destinations, London will be an exciting extension of what we’ve already established here in the United States.”

Here’s a closer look at each of the new collections:

"From our experience as interior designers, we understand the context of lighting within a space and so wanted to ensure our fixtures omitted a glow that felt balanced and comforting," said Martin Brudnizki. "We took this idea and combined it with The Urban Electric Co.'s passion for craftsmanship, designing a collection inspired by their artisanal manufacturing approach to create something nostalgic and industrial.”

“Though my background is traditionally more classical, I've always been attracted to the Art Deco style," said

Luigi Esposito, Creative Director & CEO of Oro Bianco. "Once I visited The Urban Electric Co. factory, I realized I could draw on their skills and use them to create pieces that paid homage to Art Deco without losing my own classical view point.”

Lighting by Taylor Howes Designs for The Urban Electric Co.

“We took inspiration from the combination of traditional and modern influences that have become synonymous with London’s architecture and lifestyle in designing an eclectic lighting collection with The Urban Electric Co.," said Karen Howes of Taylor Howes Designs. "A key feature of the inspiration draws from traditional jewelry design, an element that is reflected through the beautiful craftsmanship and the opulent materials and finishes used.”

All three collections are now available for purchase at The Urban Electric Co. showrooms across the country and online.
