Starting on Monday, thousands of innovative products and resources for corporate hospitality, healthcare, retail, government, institutional and residential interiors from more than 700 showrooms and exhibitors will be on display at NeoCon—where the contract design industry kicks off its year.

From June 10 – 12, Chicago’s Merchandise Mart will host more than 40,000 design professionals for CEU-accredited seminars and keynote presentations including Bjarke Ingels, Founder of BIG; Michael Vanderbyl, Principal of Vanderbyl Design; Holly Hunt, President & CEO of Holly Hunt; and Lauren Rottet, FAIA, FIIDA, interior architect and founder of Rottet Studio.

Highlights of the keynote speaker presentations include Vanderbyl in conversation with four clients: David Feldberg, President and CEO of Teknion; Janice Feldman, President & CEO of Janus Et Cie; Christian G. Plasman, President of Van Deursen Ltd.; and Kevin Stark, President of HBF. The panelists will ponder their combined 90 years of the designer-client relationship, moderated by Cindy Allen, editor-in-chief of Interior Design magazine. Interior designer Hunt will discuss change and how important it is for designers to adapt to keep their business relevant.

New to NeoCon this year is “The Outdoor Office,” developed by Jonathan Olivares with the goal of understanding the possibility of new types of work-spaces located outdoors. It was most recently on display at the Art Institute’s Modern Wing.

Nine new permanent showrooms will make their debut on floors three, 10 and 11. The showrooms include Arper, Suite 339; Prismatique, Suite 10-138; Integra, Suite 10-140; Brentano, Suite 1040A; BuzziSpace, Suite 10-111; Grand Rapids Chair, Suite 394; Skyline Design, Suite 1060; D.L. Couch Wallcoverings, Suite 11-113; and Kinetex by J&J Flooring Group, Suite 10-116. The showrooms cross over several product categories including seating, desking, wallcoverings, floorcoverings and textiles.

Finally, celebrating its 24th year, the Best of NeoCon (BON) will honor new commercial interiors products with awards at the end of the show. These products are introduced to the market in 42 categories ranging from architectural products to workplace technologies. Forty-eight jurors who are interior designers, architects, and facilities management professionals, review approximately 325 products in 22 hours over three days before NeoCon begins, and the winners will be announced at the show.

NeoCon is only open to registered members of the trade. Show hours are 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday, June 10 – Wednesday June 12. For a complete list of keynote presentations and CEU seminars with dates and times, click here.
