The high-end tableware and home décor company, Sorella Home, returns to the New York International Gift Fair—after a successful debut in August 2009—with three new tabletop collections inspired by the company’s passion for family, beauty and food.

Sorella or 'sister' in Italian, honors the bonds of women who have set tables throughout the ages in celebration of events that tell the story of their individual histories, according to Linda Green, Co-Founder and VP of Marketing and Media Relations for Sorella Home. “We fit hand and glove with tradition and family,” she said.

Although the company’s approach is young and modern for today’s customer, Sorella Home tableware—from hand-painted ceramics to hand-blown glass—is meticulously handmade in Italy by artisans whose craft has been handed down through generations. The founders believe that nowhere is the art of sharing and self-expression through entertaining more evident than in Italy.

“Our wish is that the Sorella Home collection becomes part of those cherished memories that are born around the table and create the heirlooms of tomorrow,” said Terri Casner, Co-Founder and VP of Product Development.

The three new tabletop collections, Natura, Fiori and Rosa, were unveiled this week at NYIGF, along with new pieces from Botanica and Vento, which debuted in Fall 2009. Natura, a collection of dinnerware and decorative accessories, expresses distinct individuality with its slight variations in shape and warm white tones. The line includes a carafe, a set of three dipping bowls and a platter. Suggested retail pricing is $64-$125. Fiori, a collection of glazed ceramic tableware, features four individual vintage-style floral elements hand painted on a rich, aged background. Suggested retail pricing is $68-$120. Rounding out the new lines is Rosa, a collection of hand-thrown urns that offer unmatched detail and craftsmanship in the delicate roses that adorn them.

In line with its user-friendly approach, Sorella Home will be releasing a chip resistant and oven-to-table product in Summer 2010. In addition, Sorella Home is collaborating with an iconic American tabletop brand to create a new product infused with family values and history.

Visit Sorella Home products at booth #3449 at Javits or on www.sorellahome.com. Sorella Home tableware is available at Michael C. Fina and other specialty stores. The company is based in New York and Los Angeles.
