Sales have officially begun for the Stairs Villa Hotel's dozen limited-edition, one-bedroom loft pool villas on the south coast of Bali in Philippe Starck's first Asia-Pacific hospitality project.

The notion of The Stairs originally began when entrepreneurs Nicolas Panzani and Noel Ciabrini and co-founder Hugues Revuelta made their way to Bali and became enchanted by the Petitenget neighborhood of Seminyak.

"We wanted to create a new sense of a luxury lifestyle project yet to be conceived in Bali—our own interpretation of the resident communities embracing a distinct urban buzz," said Panzani, president director of the DeCiazini Group, a privately held investment, development and hospitality management firm.

"The Stairs are like a theatre stage; everything is magic, everything is surprising; but everything is human," said Starck. "The magic also comes from the paradoxical mix of materials: poor and rich, concrete and refined wood, but always honest, always the truth, no fake, no decoration, just the simple needs but at their best."

Taking design direction from the vibrant streets across the world coming together at a monolithic stairway, The Stairs invites a dialogue among those individuals who define their own space and their own path.

Artist JonOne Perello collaborated with the creation of first-of-its-kind artwork for each villa's exteriors, signaling the jewel-box within of the exclusive Starck-conceived signature furniture designs for The Stairs.

The property is comprised of a café/patisserie, restaurant, bar lounge, boutiques, mezzanine bibliothèque, signature spa and workout facilities—along with the12 intimate pool villas, scheduled for completion next year.

Sales for The Stairs are limited to 12 villa owners and prices are available only upon request. For sales inquiries, email.
