Over 40 galleries sign on for Asia Week New York 2016

A total of 46 international galleries and five auction houses—Bonhams, Christie’s, Doyle New York, iGavel and Sotheby’s—will participate in Asia Week New York 2016. The 10-day event will celebrate Asian art and culture March 10 through 19 with gallery open houses, auction sales, exhibitions, lectures, symposia and special events. The festivities will kick off with a private reception hosted by of The Metropolitan Museum of Art Department of Asian Art.

Nine newly participating galleries include:

Berwald Oriental Art, London (Chinese ceramics, pottery, sculpture and works of art)

DAG Modern, New York (Modern Indian art)

FitzGerald Fine Arts, New York (Chinese ceramics and contemporary art)

Gallery Japonesque, San Francisco (Contemporary Japanese ceramics and works of art)

Alan Kennedy, Santa Monica (Chinese textiles and paintings)

Laurence Miller Gallery, New York (Japanese photography)

Renaud Montméat Art d’Asie, Paris (Indian and Himalayan art)

Phoenix Ancient Art, New York (Chinese bronzes)

Tenzing Asian Art, San Francisco (Hindu and Buddhist art)
