The design work of NYSID students Marjorie Sobiloff and Cathy Yohay of SY Interior Designs, Inc. is being showcased at the 2009 Hampton Designer Showhouse in Watermill, NY. The showhouse, now in its ninth year, is presented by Traditional Home to benefit Southhampton Hospital and features the work of 25 interior designers.

For this particular project, the pair transformed a 16' x 16' plain white space into a visually interesting room by attaching four silver-leafed and mahogany-finished panels to the walls. The room's neutral palette of black, brown, taupe, and white is offset by pops of color in the artwork and vintage accessories.

This is the second showhouse effort for the design team who was awarded the Producers Award for Excellence in Design at last year's Mansions and Millionaires Designer Showcase at Mill Neck Manor, Long Island. The pair is thrilled to have this latest high-profile opportunity. "We are quite excited to be included in such a great roster of designers," said Yohay.

The 2009 Hampton Designer Showhouse, located at 179 David's Lane in Water Mill, is open Monday - Sunday, 11 am - 5 pm through September 6. Admission is $30.
