Bunny Williams, India Hicks, Nathan Turner, Lela Rose, Julia Reed, Brian Patrick Flynn, Richard Keith Langham, Lisa Fine and Suzanne Rheinstein are all confirmed for Southern Style Now, New Orleans’ first-ever showhouse-design festival, sponsored by Baccarat, Kravet, Serena & Lily, Traditional Home, Milieu, Southern Living, and 1stdibs. Since EAL originally reported the story in December, Southern Style Now, which will take place from May 18 to 22, has added a wealth of new programming and big names to boot.
Among the festivities and programs are panels, antiques tours and sin-themed window vignettes. Panel topics include the likes of “Southern Comfort,” exploring regional influencers’ take on Southern living; “The New Traditionalists,” with Michel Boyd, Reagan Hayes, William McLure, Catherine Brooks Giuffre and moderator Ware Porter; “The Next South,” focusing on emerging designers; and “Southern Artists,” featuring leading artists from the region.

“In addition to the joy of working with my dear friends, including Shaun Smith, Brian Patrick Flynn, and Nathan Turner, it’s a tremendous honor to be working with India and Bunny,” says Robert Leleaux, Southern Style Now founder-organizer and author of the upcoming photo book of the same name. “Bunny and Shaun are giving Gerrie Bremermann her lifetime achievement award at our gala on May 18; an award that Baccarat has volunteered to design especially for her. In an industry that loves to give awards, I can’t imagine anyone more deserving of acknowledgment than Gerrie. She and Bunny and Baccarat are the gold standard. My mother always says, ‘A girl is the company she keeps,’ and if that’s true, I’m beholden, and a girl who’s in mighty fine form.”
