Beginning in 2011 Knoll will begin opening a series of flagship "experience centers" in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. The centers will replicate the showroom environments that Knoll has created in North America, Europe and the Middle East.

"This initiative is an important stage in our international development and positioning, and we are sure that Indian consumers will love our classic and contemporary designs for the home and office," said Andrew B. Cogan, CEO Knoll.

India furniture distributor Godrej Interio will operate the Centers in partnership with Knoll. According to Anil Mathur, COO, Godrej Interio, the alliance heralds the beginning of a new era in the evolution of interior décor in India. "By bringing Knoll's world class designs to India, we will provide high quality and design products, to satisfy the imagination and aspiration of selective consumers," he said.

Each location will showcase signature Knoll designs including collaborations with international architects and designers such as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Eero Saarinen, Harry Bertoia, Isamu Noguchi, George Nakashima, Marcel Breuer, Warren Platner and Frank Gehry, as well as new designs by Cini Boeri, Ross Lovegrove and Joseph Paul D'Urso.
