Kips Bay President's Dinner raises over $500k

New York's design cognoscenti gathered at the annual Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club President's Dinner Tuesday evening and raised over $500,000 for one of the design industry's most beloved charities. The event kicks off the annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House, which runs May 7-June 4.

The dinner was chaired by interior designer Bunny Williams and Architectural Digest editor in chief Margaret Russell, and Kips Bay Chairman Jim Druckman emceed. Special honors went to Jennifer Steinbrenner of The New York Yankees and Susan Henshaw Jones, Ronay Menschel Director and President of the Museum of the City of New York.

Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club members treated guests to two performances throughout the evening, the first was ’96,000’ from the Broadway hit In The Heights, the second was ‘The Prayer’, originally performed by Andrea Bocelli.
