Model Kate Moss will debut her first-ever interior design project at a five-bedroom estate in The Cotswolds, in rural southern England. The Barnhouse is a project of Yoo, the design and development firm co-founded by Philippe Starck. This new addition to the luxury vacation homes at The Lakes by Yoo is up for sale. It features custom-made furniture from local craftsman David Haddock, including a custom-built dining table with benches, a four-poster, stainless-steel box bed, and a TV cabinet featuring a David Bowie-inspired silver thunderbolt. Artwork throughout the property includes pieces by Allen Jones, Chris Levine, Damien Hirst, and Mit Senoj, inaddition to Moss’s work with Chris Allen and Jake and Dinos Chapman.

Moss worked with The Lakes by Yoo chairman John Hitchcox on the project. “John and I became friends through our love for the English countryside, and the pub,” explains Moss. “When he told me about The Barnhouse in the middle of the silver birch wood, I was intrigued and then excited to become part of the design team. We have created a luxurious haven in the woods, a perfect place to escape with family and friends.”

Says Hitchcox, “Intertwined throughout the interiors of this concealed treasure, ‘The Barnhouse, with interiors by Kate Moss,’ is a home that offers the exclusivity of privacy as an indulgence worth treasuring. As with any of our Lakes by Yoo homes, careful consideration has gone in to creating a balance between luxury and function, keeping the emotion of a comfortable country family home central to the environment of the property.”
