Karim Rashid's concept for sustainable living "Smart-ologic Corian Living" is scheduled to be unveiled during Milan Design Week 2010 next month. The futuristic installation shows how a home can walk the line of low efficiency and aesthetics.

Designed for DuPont Corian, the organically-shaped house incorporates the versatility and sensory quality of the Corian material, which is environmentally sustainable bio-sourced components and recycled materials. It also integrates DuPont Energain panels for energy consumption reduction along with building integrated photovoltaic modules and Tyvek woven membranes.

The home includes a futuristic kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room enclosed in gently undulating walls. Rashim selected a soft palette of colors from the current range and the 2010 series of DuPont ™ Corian® to set the tone of the space.
