House Beautiful’s ninth annual Kitchen of the Year was brought to life by Atlanta-based designer Matthew Quinn. His inspiration: the style of the homeowner, an immigration lawyer who lives in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood with her eight-month-old twins.

The kitchen, which was unveiled last week, features Thermador appliances; AKDO tiles; Ballard Designs home furnishings; Caesarstone countertops; Corbett lighting; CSL lighting; cabinets by Downsview KitchensDXV by American Standard sinks; Farrow & Ball paint; Ferguson bath, kitchen and lighting products; GROHE faucets; Grothouse custom wood countertops; Haiku Home ceiling fans; Hudson Valley lighting; Matthew Quinn Collection hardware; Napoleon fireplaces; Panasonic vent fans; Room & Board furniture; Thibaut fabrics and wallcoverings; Troy lighting; and Woodard outdoor furniture. The Matthew Quinn Collection custom hood was provided by Francois & Co.

“We’ve truly customized this year’s House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year from the ground up,” says Quinn. “The Kitchen is designed with beautiful elements that I myself use on a daily basis, and the space represents my ultimate vision for the homeowner and her sons—it’s durable and easy to clean, and brings the family together in the home, all while evoking a sense of serenity and splendor.”
