Organized by the World Green Building Council, building communities across the globe celebrated World Green Building Week last week.
The week united 90 nations representing more than 20,000 organizations as conferences, tours, educational events and gatherings were held. The event highlighted the role green buildings play in creating greener and healthier neighborhoods, communities and cities.
"World Green Building Week is an important opportunity to educate communities around the world about the many benefits of green buildings, from human and environmental health to resilient infrastructure and robust economies," said Rick Fedrizzi, President, CEO and Founding Chair of USGBC and Chair of the World Green Building Council.
