When Italian intimates brand La Perla met luxury manufacturer of textiles Fazzini, the rendezvous resulted in something none-too-unexpected: a new licensing agreement bringing La Perla into the home furnishings industry—specifically with the debut of a collection of household linens.

"This line is a natural progression from the private world of lingerie, turning the focus on intimate spaces in the home,” said La Perla global marketing director Nick Tacchi. “This project is founded on quality and Made-in-Italy excellence."

According to Tacchi, La Perla and Fazzini’s shared dedication to the excellence of the “Made in Italy” tradition has informed the development of the new collection, which includes bed linens, blankets, throws and towels. The collection features a seductive alchemy of embroidery, colors, sets and high-design details in great Italian style.

The collection uses the iconic flying oyster, heavily featured in the new La Perla menswear S/S 2015 collection, with exquisite reproductions on silk satin and cotton. High-end jacquard techniques and classic patterns such as checks are also featured on silks and linens.

The new La Perla Home collection will be presented in Paris from Jan. 23 to Jan. 27 at Maison & Objet.
