Ellen’s Design Challenge announces lineup of 10 designers

The latest roster of designers ​has been announced for Ellen DeGeneres’s furniture design competition series Ellen’s Design Challenge. The designers will make their official debut in an hour-long “HGTV Meet the Cast” episode airing on New Year’s Day. This season’s designers include Vivian Beer, Manchester, New Hampshire; Bradley Bowers, Miami; Julie Browning Bova, Indiana; Miles Endo, Providence, Rhode Island; McKenzie Gibson, Providence, Rhode Island; Kyle Huntoon, Detroit; Alexis Moran, Orinda, California; Sef Pinney, Los Angeles; Melissa Rivera Torres, Pleasant Hill, California; and Dave Yale, San Jose, California.

The competition will task designers with sketching, designing and building furniture for specific challenges, including designing the greenrooms at The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The winner of the competition will receive a $100,000 cash prize courtesy of Wayfair and will also have their work featured in HGTV Magazine. The first episode of Ellen’s Design Challenge will premiere at 9 p.m. on January 18.
