Last month, Decorex International began a hunt for the top 100 interior design influencers on Twitter by asking members of the design community to nominate their favorite and most inspiring Twitter users. Nominations were made via Twitter using #Decorex100.

The campaign drew more than 2,500 tweets from the global interior design community, reaching more than 2,000,000 interior design professionals and enthusiasts including top interior designers, bloggers, journalists, designers, stylists and leading magazines.

“Design has a huge presence on social media,” said Simone du Bois, Decorex International’s Brand Director. “More and more companies are communicating via online platforms such as Twitter to share the latest products, offer advice, as well as news on the latest design trends. We ran the campaign in 2012 to huge success with many of the winners achieving even greater prominence today.”

The top 100 Twitter users in the interior design industry, listed in alphabetical order, are as follows:

Decorex monitored all nominees as they were uploaded to a live list using social ranking software, Leaderboarded, where each Twitter account was ranked based on its Klout score. Once the campaign closed, Decorex then reviewed all nominations by relevance before drawing up the final list of #Decorex100 winners.

The next edition of Decorex International takes place from Sunday, September 21, through Wednesday, September 24, in London. Stay tuned for additional information.
