The 12th DreamHome, an annual installation that showcases the work of six of Chicago’s top interior design firms, will open April 14 in the Design Center at the Merchandise Mart. The firms will each transform a single room using furnishings that are only sourceable at the Design Center showrooms on floors 6, 14, 15 and 16.

This year’s DreamHome design firms include:

Blutter Shiff Design Associates (Foyer)

Hunter Kaiser (Dining Room)

JamesThomas Interiors (Sunroom)

Kadlec Architecture + Design (Library)

Michael Del Piero Good Design (Bedroom)

Soucie Horner Ltd. (Living Room)

DreamHome will be open to the public April 15 through December 4. Admission is free, and donations will be accepted on behalf of AlmostHome Kids, which provides transitional care in a home-like setting to children with complicated health needs.
