According to Ray A. Smith's Wall Street Journal blog report: Heard on the Runway:

Brooks Brothers, maker of iconic striped repp ties and other American menswear staples, plans to launch a line of home furnishings this fall.

The products will include pillows, towels, sheets and lampshades made out of the same fabrics (and patterns) used to make Brooks Brothers’ ties and suits.

Brooks Brothers has long had some of these items but never for sale. Rather, they were props, in store windows, catalogs and presentations like the one held Tuesday.

“We get asked [about whether the props are for sale] constantly,” said spokesman Arthur Wayne. “We’ve always used these in our window displays in all of our stores, so people come in and ask … We finally said, let’s just offer it.”
