The first-ever Boston Home Decor premieres November 19 to 22, beginning with a gala preview to benefit DIFFA. The show—spotlighting antiques, contemporary and modern home furnishings, decorative arts, home decor and fine art—will be held at The Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts, and is presented by Fusco & Four.

“The way that people collect and how they furnish their homes has dramatically changed,” says event co-producer Tony Fusco. “The trend to downsize from larger homes to high-rise luxury condominiums, the emergence of a younger collector interested in owning iconic works of their own generation, a more racially and ethnically diverse population, and less stylistically restrictive interior design that embraces both old and new—all of this called for a new kind of show.”

Exhibitors include Charles Spada Antiques, Essex Antiquarians, J&M Antiques, William Schwind Jr. Antiques & Fine Art, Machine Age and others. Fine art galleries include Argosy Gallery, The Copley Society of Art, The Guild of Boston Artists, Powers Gallery and photography specialist 555 Gallery. Individual designers and artisans include textile designer Irina Gorbman, sculptural artist Kue King, ceramic artists M Street Potters, custom furniture maker Paul Hahn, lighting designer Martin Rothenberg and enameled metal artist Robert Rickard. Contemporary manufacturers and design showrooms include Landry & Arcari Rugs and Carpeting; the M-Geough showroom from the Boston Design Center, contemporary Brazilian furniture maker Diseño, Quebec companies G. Romano and Fol-Lux, Italian furniture specialist Sedia, and interior designer Steven Favreau, presenting furniture and textiles by Robert Allen.
