Best outdoor furniture designs for 2010 announced

The association of outdoor furniture designers, retailers and manufacturers, International Casual Furnishings Association (ICFA), announced winners of its annual 2010 Design Excellence competition. The awards recognize products for their overall design, as well as their marketability, innovation, color, construction and imaginative use of materials.

Judges included Adam Moroschan, Chicago HOME and Garden; Janel Laban from the blog, Apartment Therapy; and Debby Donovan, The Daily Herald; designers Grace Sielaff of M Grace Designs, and Pamela Self, Pamela Self Landscape Design; and retailers Bruce Erickson, Williams Ski and Patio and Mike D’Antonio, Viking Ski and Patio.

The “Best of Show” award will be given based on the results of an online voting program September 21. The winner will be announced at a 6:30 p.m. awards reception on Wednesday, September 22, at the Ballroom of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The awards reception is open to ICFA members and their invited guests.
