BOFFO conducted a worldwide competition in partnership with Architizer in search of worldclass architects to pair with innovative fashion designers. A BOFFO organized jury which included BOFFO, Architizer and industry leaders DS&R’s Charles Renfro, Archi-Tectonic’s Winka Dubbledam, Friends of the High Line Co-Founder Robert Hammond, and others reviewed all submissions and selected this year’s finalists.

BOFFO’s first installation will pair Nicola Formichetti with New York’s own “Avant Guardians” of architecture, Mark Foster Gage and Marc Clemenceau Bailly of Gage/Clemenceau Architects September 29 - October 12.

The second architect in the series to work with Irene Neuwirth will be the internationally acclaimed Marc Fornes of THEVERYMANY. Patrick Ervell will be collaborating with London artist and recipient of the 2010 'Designer of the Future' award from Design Miami, Graham Hudson October 20 – November 2.

The Lake & Stars will be pushing boundaries of constraint and perception as they work with the 2010 recipients of the New Practices New York award by the AIA Chapter of New York, SOFTlab November 10 – 23.

The final architects to be chosen to partner with Ohne Titel will be the innovative and internationally recognized architects Lonn Combs and Rona Easton of EASTON+COMBS December 1 - 14.

Each architect’s collaboration will transform 57 Walker Street in New York City into an original retail environment, rotating every two weeks, to showcase designs on par with the caliber and prestige demonstrated by the supporting fashion designer.

Winning architects are awarded $20,000 to build and realize their vision. Retail installations will be produced in part with Architectural Systems materials. Throughout Fall 2011, the architectural transformations will be open to the public
