AD Home Design Show opens this week

The 12th annual Architectural Digest Home Design Show is back this week Thursday, March 21 through Sunday, March 24, with a robust events lineup and over 500 high-end home brands in New York City. Designers are invited to a special design trade preview on Thursday from 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

On Thursday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., Architectural Digest Editor in Chief Margaret Russell and celebrity designer Nate Berkus will give Thursday’s keynote address on “The Power of Personal Style.” Also participating in a series of panel discussions will be Thom Filicia, John Finton, Antony Todd, Gina Wicker, Doc Willoughby, Steve Brown, Elissa Cullman, and Jamie Drake.

Also on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until noon, Modenus' Blog Tour hosts a welcome "Marys & Mimosas" press event & tweet up, sponsored by Sub-Zero/Wolf in the Fendi Casa show lounge.

Back for its fifth year, the MADE in America section features handcrafted, American-made, limited-edition or one-of-a-kind furnishings, accessories, and fine art pieces. More than 160 United States-based companies are showcasing an array of pieces available for purchase.

Throughout the weekend, guests can preview and purchase vintage, newly released, and autographed editions from Potterton Books at the Architectural Digest Library and Book Store. Design experts Berkus, Filicia, Finton, and James Magni will make special guest appearances and sign copies of their books.

The reFRESH pavilion, a show-within-the-show, features new products from more than 100 premier kitchen and bath brands, plus live culinary demonstrations by acclaimed chefs.

More than 45 amazing table installations will be on display at DIFFA’s DINING BY DESIGN throughout the show. Stay tuned to learn about the designers and dinner.

The show includes seminars with design experts, culinary demonstrations by notable chefs, book signings and special events. A complete schedule of happenings and tickets can be found here.

Hours are Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 24 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Pier 94, 55th street at the West Side Highway, New York City.

Preview tickets for entry to the show on Thursday are available for $95. Friday through Sunday, general admission tickets are $30 online or $35 at the door.
