LCDQ 2023 ‘Living Legend’ Ken Fulk presents ‘The Movie in My Mind’

On May 10, as part of La Cienega Design Quarter’s Legends 2023, “Living Legend” Ken Fulk starred in a keynote presentation at The Rug Company.

Introduced by Kelly Phillips Badal of Luxe Interiors + Design, Fulk took guests on a fascinating illustrated journey through his extravagant design endeavors. The presentation was followed by a signing of his new book, The Movie in My Mind, published by Assouline. Fulk also partnered with The Rug Company on their West Hollywood showroom’s window display, featuring a Ken Fulk mannequin, digital screen film clips and lettering that read “Fulk It.”

“I’m so honored to have been recognized by Legends of La Cienega this year alongside my friend, Alexa Hampton,” said Fulk. “Over the years, Legends has served as a wonderful incubator of ideas—it’s not only the collective creativity manifesting in these windows but also the community program that has really turned it into a must-attend design week. This year was especially meaningful as we were celebrating over a decade of our participation, having completed our first Peep at Provincetown window in 2012.”

The Legends keynote saw more than 200 VIP registrants, including Anna Brockway, Tanner Moussa, Julia Duke, Kendall Wilkinson, Kate Verner, Carrie Livingston, Aimée Mazzenga, Jonny Mendez, Meg Lonergan and Karyn Miller. Fulk signed more than 50 copies of his latest book.
