FLOR, the eco-friendly company that produces custom carpet tiles, recently teamed up with Boston street artist Rene Gagnon. Gagnon used FLOR carpet squares to create a unique art piece in a live installation at the opening of the company’s new store in Burlington, Massachusetts, last week.

FLOR previously collaborated with Miami-based art and design firm Totuma during NeoCon last year, as well as U.K.-based leather-restoration brand Elvis & Kresse on a recycled/restored leather rug capsule collection.

Gagnon tells EAL, “The FLOR team has been a supporter of my work for some time, and we were looking for the right opportunity to work together. Another important factor for me was that FLOR manufactures over 95 percent of products in the United States. What really sealed the deal is the customer experience FLOR offers, the creative design process. That idea of the customer having creative freedom seemed a concept fitting for my style of art.”
