Scheduled to launch later this month, billie magazine will feature many familiar names from the fashion and shelter worlds such as photographers Matthew Williams, Paul Costello and Matt Albiani and writers Eliza Alsop and Stephen Treffinger. The first issue will include travel, home stories and market round-ups including the Texas country home of graphic designer Ashley Puttman.
The magazine's founder Lili Diallo (featured above), a former Domino stylist and author of Details: A Stylist's Secrets to Creating Inspired Interiors, will serve as the magazine's Editor in Chief, and Monika Biegler-Eyers, a former editor at Domino, has signed on to be Executive Editor at Large.
"It's a home magazine with lifestyle content as well. There will be lots of new faces that haven't been seen before," said Diallo. "It will not be too 'decorator-y' — it's more about a confident and natural person—but on the same note, won't shy away from 'It girls' we like."
The magazine will be online with monthly feature updates and more frequent market updates. Diallo is bootstrapping the project to start, and will consider seeking funding once the first few issues are underway.
Pottery Barn will host an event in its Beverly Hills store with Diallo, Costello and Goodman, as well as Elizabeth Blitzer and David Netto on October 25 next week.
