ASID New York Metro held its monthly Emerging Designer Event at Peter Pennoyer Architects last week. The event series brings together emerging designers and leaders in the interior design community for an evening of learning and inspiration. Twenty-five guests joined Peter Pennoyer and Nathaniel Brooks, director of interiors at Peter Pennoyer Architects, at their midtown office for a presentation that included 3-D models, renderings and technical drawings of current and past projects.

“We were so thrilled to host the ASID Emerging Designers at our office last Wednesday,” says Brooks. “Along with great conversations about our work, we were happy to meet so many talented young designers and talk about the many opportunities in our industry. We look forward to many more wonderful collaborations with these dynamic students.”

The group gathers around Peter Pennoyer (left) and Brooks to see a full-scale elevation of a Czech cubism–inspired porch design.

Peter Pennoyer shows Glenn Gissler, ASID NY Metro president-elect, some of the incredible hand drawings done in the studio.
