Burnham Design

Los Angeles
Known for elegant, urbane and comfortable interiors that deploy high style in livable scenes, Betsy has over two decades of experience marrying her Connecticut sense to a California sensibility and demonstrating a deep understanding of the classic that always leaves room for the unexpected. Drawing from diverse influences and editing rigorously, Betsy composes welcoming, memorable, sophisticated spaces with a clever, considered aesthetic. Her rooms custom fit the needs and desires of her clients, honor the architecture, are visually well-ordered and always stylish. Always in tune with our clients’ aspirations, we focus on comfort and livability. We love color, textiles, collections, layers and tailoring. Across the lifespan of a project, from planning through accessorizing, we provide full-service design and specification savvy for residential construction projects, collaborating with architects, builders, landscape designers and tradespeople to realize meaningful designs that enhance our clients' lives. Combining technical and logistical rigor with long-established design resources, we're also discerning, adventurous decorators—selecting interior furnishings from paint, wallpaper and window treatments all the way through accessories and art. Burnham Design projects have been featured in House Beautiful, Luxe Interiors + Design, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, BHG, California Home and Design, Coastal Living, Domino, Lonny, The Today Show, and more.
