An exclusive preview of Thom Browne’s new rug collection for The Rug Company was unveiled in a celebration at the brand’s New York showroom on October 13. The company’s co-founder, Christopher Sharp, and Amy Astley, editor in chief of Architectural Digest, welcomed the attendees, who included Amy Fine Collins, Andrew Bolton, Miles Redd, Emma Elwick-Bates, Alexandra Toccin, Christy Doramus, Rayman Boozer, Keith Carroll, Kevan Miller, Robert Marinelli, Philip Gorrivan, Michael Hainey and Brooke Cundiff.
"Thom Browne’s new collection brings his intricate yet understated design aesthetic to the interiors world," says Sharp. "The collaboration celebrates our joint commitment to exceptional quality and craftsmanship, combined with a modern design aesthetic. The designs required exceptional weaving skills and painstaking detail. Even the particular grey used on these designs has been matched perfectly to his garments, and a new technique for carving rugs has been developed to represent his love of texture in the Cable Knit design.”
