NYC-based interior designer Nicole Gibbons is now Lowe’s Home Improvement’s premier Style Ambassador. Gibbons will work on a number of products, including the launch of the brand’s first stores in Manhattan as well as new collections, video content and NYC area events. Lowe’s will make its Manhattan debut with an Upper West Side store opening at West 68th Street and Broadway on August 17. Gibbons’ first collection includes NYC apartment-size pieces including pillows, throws, ceramics and lighting as well as multifunctional occasional pieces, such as a brass bar cart.

The home improvement store's second Manhattan location will open in Chelsea. Both of the stores, reports Fortune, are smaller concepts than the brand’s traditional retail outposts found in suburban locations, and they also feature display windows.
