Furniture imports climb for the first time in 8 years

U.S. imports surged in November due to an increase in furniture shipments after eight months of year-over-year declines, which could be an indicator of an improving economy,.according to a report in Furniture Today,

Containerized imports were up 5% in November from the same month a year earlier, with furniture imports up 7% to 144,823 20 ft-equivalent units.
