The showhouse will open next month at 272 Brick Kiln Road in Bridgehampton. Meg Braff Designs is the project's interior designer, with developer/builder Touch of Grey, Inc.; architect Fred Throo; and landscape architect Mahoney Associates all on hand. The initiative will benefit charity Conscience Point Shellfish Hatchery, which promotes sustainable aquaculture and ecological stewardship in Southampton.
Designer Braff tells the magazine of her inspiration, "Look for a little bit more of a modern twist. Often as a designer you get assigned a certain 'look' and few clients are willing to step out of their comfort zone. Designing the Coastal Living Showhouse, I will bring in some pieces and finishes that I would like to work into my design repertoire more often. I love mixing it up, and the Coastal Living Showhouse is a wonderful venue to showcase some new ideas. I am consciously selecting great looking pieces that I might not be able to convince a client to try. Innovation is one of the most exciting aspects of doing a showhouse."
Opening to the public June 10, the showhouse will run tours Thursdays through Sundays, from 10 am to 5 pm, until September 5. Purchase tickets.
