Hébé

Rinck’s vision for Hébé was indeed hedonistic—a dream of celebration, swirling smoke and Champagne created amid France’s first lockdown. Rinck’s interior architecture design team sought to express a feminine vision of the smoking room, unshackling the space from its gender-specific repute. The ensemble, with the goddess Hebe as its theme, includes a liquor cabinet, sofa and armchair, game table and accompanying chairs, rug, coffee tables, cushions, floor lamp, end table, ashtray, and cigar humidor or jewelry box—all in a palette enabling Rinck to showcase its creative identity, which is reflected in both the designs and finishes.

In abstract homage to the ornamental symbols of Olympus gracing the Hébé collection, the rug presents a poetic vision in myriad hues. Tones and semitones perform a delicate dance, combining to create a harmonious composition, expressed through the artistry of our craftspeople in an explosion of color.

A variation of the chair created in January 2020 for the Félicité collection, this chair was designed for the Hébé collection’s games table. It boasts a wider seat, which provides superior comfort over long evenings of play. The textured upholstery fabric, designed by Rinck, is reminiscent of the elegance of a ladies tweed suit. The chair’s oval back features the goddess Hebe, symbol of eternal youth, discreetly embossed in the velvet. This piece is handcrafted in the Rinck workshops in France.

The games table is a unique creation that savvy players will appreciate. Wider than more traditional models, it provides superior comfort over long evenings of play. Every corner features a manual system, patented by Rinck in the 1950s, that quickly causes a glass holder and ashtray holder to appear. As for the actual games, the table has a reversible top—one side for chess, the other with a special surface for card games. A set of matching chairs is also available.
