Culver City-based home furnishings department store HD Buttercup has popped up in a second Los Angeles location—Santa Monica—but, in temporary shop fashion, will remain open for just one year. The company also launched its new brand logo and mission statement in tandem with the store opening on July 30. The shop, which is located in the former Fred Segal building, spans 35,000 square feet and is stocked with a number of exclusive products, including tables from the Spence Collection, the Oak Madra bed and Teak Pop stool, among others.
"Our Santa Monica location imbues a sexy/ carefree/ beachy vibe compared to our other locations," Heather Ashton, Creative Director of HD Buttercup, tells EAL. "Stocked with a product assortment that appeals to our discerning Westside customer, be it Santa Monica, Malibu, Brentwood, Venice, or the surrounding areas, our expansive selection is, without a doubt, the epi-center of the casual-chic lifestyle that Los Angeles is known for, and that our customers aspire to."
