Our fabulous client is a full service residential design firm that has been creating inspired spaces of extraordinary beauty for two decades. The firm’s design portfolio includes hundreds of private residences and vacation homes throughout California, Aspen, Hawaii, and more. The firm has has been featured in numerous design publications including Elle Decor, Luxe Magazine, Modern Luxury Interiors, California Home & Design and more. This full time position is based in Half Moon Bay, CA and is an in-office role.

We are looking for an experienced residential Interior Designer with 3-5+ years of high end residential experience. The role of Interior Designer is to help drive design projects from design concept through to final installation. As Interior Designer, you will be responsible for working alongside the Principal + design team delivering projects; creating beauty and seamless functionality.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

DESIGN AND DRAFTING

Collaborate with Principal on project design, developing conceptual designs and mock-ups.
Draft interior/architectural elements such as furniture plans, construction documents, and architectural details.
Manage project scope, schedules, and communication with team members.
Coordinate with contractors/vendors and oversee installations.
Research, source, and specify FF&E according to project requirements.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Review project documentation comprehensively to determine scope and schedules.
Maintain continuous communication with Principal, team members, and Clients.
Coordinate with contractors/vendors to ensure production and installations align with project timelines.
Serve as a liaison with Clients, generating accurate purchase orders and addressing inquiries.
Travel as needed to fulfill project obligations.
Maintain meticulous project documentation and closely monitor expenses.

Job Requirements

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Legal authorization to work in the United States
Degree in Interior Design
Ideally 3-5+ years direct work experience in a residential interior design firm
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD (A plus: Revit, InDesign and SketchUp)
Studio Designer experience a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Familiarity with both Mac and PC operating systems
Excellent verbal, written, and visual/digital communication skills
Current driver’s license and auto insurance with access to a car

SALARY, BENEFITS & SCHEDULE

Compensation is hourly, non-exempt and based on experience
Full time, in-office Monday through Friday schedule
$400 monthly healthcare contribution
401k w/ 2% match
Mileage reimbursement
Vacation Days (15, increases with tenure)
Sick Days (5)
Paid Holidays (10-11)

THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE, MONDAY - FRIDAY. MUST BE WILLING TO COMMUTE TO HALF MOON BAY, CA OR RELOCATE.
