Job Description

Baker|McGuire is one of the oldest and largest multi-line showrooms in the United States. Featuring outstanding representation of transitional, formal, and contemporary furniture as well as decorative accessories. We are currently looking to add a Sales Assistant to our team.
The Sales Assistant will assist our Full-Time Sales Associates, acting as a Support for our Sales force for all channels of the Baker | McGuire company by providing resources and collateral needed to sell our Brand. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in luxury home furnishings through a multitude of experiences – to support our Sales Team with the goal to maximize sales volume by growing existing business, developing new business, and providing a superb and welcoming sales experience. The Sales Assistant will develop their knowledge, develop relationships and networking abilities while providing necessary sales tools. The future for the role would be to acclimate to a long-term sales associate.

Job Requirements

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Greeting guests upon arrival to the showroom and learning their motivation for their visit.
Presenting and discussing various home furnishings product options based upon your discovery of the prospective clients’ lifestyle, needs and goals.
Assisting with marketing, new sales and special events.
Providing the sales team with administrative assistance when necessary.
Increasing personal knowledge of products, sales techniques, and promotions through continuous professional training and development.

Software: Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office are required. Experience working with a database is preferred, with Oracle experience highly desirable.
Prior experience: Two years of administrative experience or Customer service background.
Other skills: Demonstrated organizational skills and outstanding customer service are a must. The successful candidate will possess a genuine love of working with and helping others, the ability to flex between a high volume of competing priorities, and a high degree of curiosity coupled with a drive to achieve aggressive goals.
