Regan Baker Design (RBD) is seeking a Senior Designer / Architectural Designer to help lead the design process and quality control for projects. The Senior Designer will lead the project team to conceptualize the project as a whole, set the initial design direction and will make critical aesthetic decisions throughout the project while integrating input from the client.

Responsibilities
- Developing overall design for projects
- Developing design sketches, layouts and details based on initial sketches prepared by others
- Reviewing construction documents
- Reviewing engineering and other consultant drawings to ensure they comply with design intention
- Leading design and implementation of custom furniture and millwork
- Researching and selecting FF&E and FF&A for projects
- Preparing client FF&E budgets and specifications for purchases as needed
- Serving as prime interface with the client and consultants with regard to design issues and presentations
- Leading quality control reviews for projects to confirm documents are meeting RBD Standards
- Project managing as needed, such as task management and meeting minutes
- Participating in on-site meetings with owner, consultants and contractors including installation, as necessary
- Maintaining relationships with existing clients and nurture potential clients

- Bachelors of architecture or design school or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of design or architecture experience in either contract, hospitality, architecture or residential design
- Extensive knowledge of design principles, aesthetics, and space planning methodology and ability to independently drive a project from start to finish
- Extensive knowledge of furnishings and finishes
- Expert sketching and rendering skills
- Expert interior architecture detailing skills
- Extensive knowledge of Construction Documents and procedures
- Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements
- Extensive knowledge of contract administration
- Extensive knowledge of budget preparation and proven ability to manage projects within budgetary constraints
- Familiarity with custom furniture and millwork design
- Proficient in AutoCAD and InDesign
- Familiarity in Sketch-Up and Studio Webware a plus
- Delights in servicing clients and making people smile
