Job Description

The Junior Designer is responsible for assisting with the coordination of assigned project effort, administrative and technical, to ensure the best execution of projects. This is done by supporting the team in all design areas: concept, design development, documentation and administration, and purchasing. Understanding of the project scope and foreseeing needs and potential conflicts. Communicating potential problems and alert when deadlines or milestones might not be met ahead of time to the project lead. Research and develop design and produce solutions that are in line with the studio's design intent and direction. Collaborate and coordinate seamlessly with architects, suppliers, vendors, and clients. Track, order and process purchase orders for multiple projects. Serve as a contact for these vendors. Keep clear and organized records of correspondences, meetings, schedules, and tracking for purchases.

Job Requirements

-One year or more of professional experience, demonstrating excellence in design and implementation on multiple projects.
-Degree in related field
-Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and relations software used to create design and contract documents, StudioWebware is a plus.
-Rhino or Sketchup is preferred, but not a requirement.
-Must be local in New York and have a good understanding of local vendors, knowing Los Angeles is a blues.

-Strong verbal and graphic presentation skills.
