Experienced Trade Showroom Salesperson
Overview
The Trade Showroom Salesperson is responsible for driving revenue growth and building long-term relationships with interior designers, architects, and their clients. This role combines sales expertise with deep product knowledge to deliver an exceptional showroom experience and ensure a seamless process from inquiry to installation. Acting as both sales consultant and brand ambassador, the Trade Showroom Salesperson promotes the showroom’s values of design excellence, craftsmanship, and superior service, while earning commission based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Relations
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade clients, proactively expanding the showroom’s network.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing personalized, high-touch service.
• Consistently meet or exceed sales targets, with commission earned on new and repeat business.
• Build loyalty by understanding each client’s aesthetic, budget, and project requirements.
Quote & Order Management
• Prepare accurate, detailed quotes in collaboration with vendors and production partners.
• Manage the sales pipeline by tracking open quotes, following up diligently, and converting opportunities into confirmed orders.
• Oversee the full sales process, from quote through delivery, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage.
Networking & Business Development
• Attend industry events, showroom previews, and networking opportunities to build relationships and generate leads.
• Represent the showroom in the design community, positioning it as a trusted resource for luxury interiors.
• Partner with marketing and leadership to identify new business opportunities and strengthen trade relationships.

Job Requirements

Communication & Coordination
• Clearly communicate client needs to internal teams, including procurement and logistics.
• Anticipate challenges (e.g., lead times, customization requirements) and provide proactive solutions.
• Ensure polished, professional communication throughout the client journey.
Brand Representation
• Act as a brand ambassador, embodying the showroom’s values of luxury, quality, and service.
• Host clients in the showroom, offering guided tours and tailored product presentations.
• Support showroom hospitality initiatives, previews, and designer-focused events to drive engagement.
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in luxury interiors, design, or showroom sales.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to adapt tone to both creative designers
and technical vendors.
• Deep knowledge of high-end furniture, finishes, and customization processes preferred.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, quoting tools, and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Quote turnaround compliance: % of quotes delivered within showroom service standards.
• Designer satisfaction: measured by repeat business, feedback, and relationship strength.
• Conversion rate: percentage of quotes converted to orders.
• Communication efficiency: minimal dropped requests, consistent acknowledgment and
updates.
