When ELLE DECOR launched its annual A-List of designers in 2010, the goal was to produce a list of ‘authentic tastemakers’ in the U.S. whose rooms reflect high style, serious comfort, snappy ideas, and whose innovative approach to the art of decoration will be studied for generations.

This year, six of the 68 designers on the list have made it for the first time. They include Kelly Behun, Nate Berkus, Lorenzo Castillo, S. Russell Groves, M. Elle Design and Paolo Moschino.

"We wanted to add designers with a clear, distinct take, designers whose works can't be mistaken for anyone else's,” said Michael Boodro, Editor-in-Chief of ELLE DECOR. “Each of the six A-List additions fits that bill. Their styles range from the luxuriously minimal to the richly layered and eclectic, but they are all able to execute their visions with panache.”

The complete A-List, which includes grand masters such as Bunny Williams, Mario Buatta, Juan Montoya and David Easton, is featured in the June issue of ELLE DÉCOR along with a sampling of the newly added designers’ work.
