Since its recent acquisition of Decorati, the design community has been on pins and needles to hear what's next for Gilt HOME. The site currently offers 30 sales per week from 400+ designers and home brands, and has announced plans to expand its offerings later this fall  with full-price merchandise, one-of-a-kind items, and daily flash sales.

Jason Goldberger talks about his experience in e-commerce to Silicon Prairie.

Gilt HOME today announced the appointement of Jason Goldberger to oversee all aspects of the Home business, including business strategy, merchandise and site development. As General Manager, Goldberger will report to Susan Lyne, Chairman of Gilt Groupe.

Goldberger comes from the online marketplace Hayneedle, where he served as Senior Vice President of Marketing, Merchandising, and Site for four years. He played an instrumental role in the creation of the brand and grew the business significantly. He also spent eight years at Amazon where he served as General Manager for two businesses.

"Jason is a recognized leader in the home space and brings with him a deep knowledge of the category and strong ecommerce experience," said Lyne. "We know he’ll be a tremendous asset as we expand our home business.”

“I am thrilled to join such an innovative company,” said Goldberger. “Gilt has led the wave of next generation ecommerce and I look forward to expanding Gilt’s footprint in home. ”
