The nexus of lighting innovations, cleverly dubbed Lightovation, kicks off June 20 at Dallas Market Center. The show’s summer edition will include four days of new products, programming, inspirational displays and the grand opening of the SMART Center.

A partnership between Dallas Market Center and the American Lighting Association, the SMART Center brings 6,000 square feet of education, lounge and reception spaces to the center, expanding the ALA’s outpost in the World Trade Center with more resources for the network of lighting professionals. A ribbon cutting and toast to the grand opening will be held on Wednesday morning.

Sonneman, Feiss, Hudson Valley Lighting and Arteriors will be among the 100-plus exhibitors introducing their latest collections at the Market. Stop by the latter to browse Celerie Kemble’s first-ever lighting line, which embraces the Palm Beach native’s preferred materials: wicker, rattan, bamboo and finishes like eglomise, milk glass verdigris and gold leaf. Also be sure to check out Corey Damon Jenkins’s new, fashion-inspired collection with Hudson Valley Lighting that spans chandeliers, pendants, sconces and more.

Lightovation: Dallas International Lighting Show, which is held in conjunction with the DMC Market every January and June, draws thousands of lighting buyers each session. Industry experts Terry McGowan, ALA’s director of engineering, architect Doug Walter, business analyst Jon Schallert and more will be on hand to lead discussions at the four-day event.
