During the last two decades China’s economic development has resulted in a gigantic building boom that has caused the Chinese architectural market to be considered the most dynamic in the world today.

The exhibition M8 in China: Contemporary Chinese Architects highlights the work of eight Chinese architectural firms, and explores new trends in contemporary Chinese architecture. The featured firms consist of young architects, most of whom have studied abroad and have maintained their international networks.

The exhibition is produced by Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) in Frankfurt and is presented in collaboration with the National Museum from February through April 2011.
