The Merchandise Mart’s Chicago VIP Luxury Gala will honor the Midwest’s top talent across interior design, architecture and residential categories, with four industry pros to be inducted into the Mart’s Hall of Fame. The winners include the Lifetime Achievement honoree, Mick De Giulio, principal, De Giulio kitchen design; the Architect honoree, Darcy Robert Bonner Jr., founder and principal, Darcy Bonner and Associates; the Interior Designer honoree, Alessandra Branca, founder, Branca; and the Residential Developer honoree, James Loewenberg, FAIA, co-chief executive officer, Magellan Development Group.

“We are privileged to honor this year’s exemplary residential design professionals,” says Katherine Flaherty, vice president, Vornado | Merchandise Mart. “All have made their mark in our industry by creating spaces that inspire and motivate us to think differently, not just in the way we design, but in the way we live. Join us to celebrate their achievements at the Chicago VIP Luxury Gala on September 14, 2016. This will be a special evening and a truly can’t-miss event.”

A host committee of 70-plus building, renovation and interior design brands and interior designer, architectural and building and development firms will welcome gala attendees at an evening sponsored by media sponsor Luxe Interiors + Design; platinum sponsor Thermador; Gold Sponsors Pella Crafted Luxury and Sherwin-Williams; and Silver Sponsors Poggenpohl and Wood-Mode.

The gala is part of Chicago Design Summit, the region’s biggest residential design event, which runs on September 14, with a full lineup of programming that includes CEU seminars, discussions, open houses and more.
