Designers know it’s officially the holiday season in New York when the doors open to Holiday House NYC—and they did just that on Wednesday evening. Exploring the Academy Mansion on the city's Upper East Side, guests spent the evening's VIP gala (hosted by Traditional Home) marveling at the 23 spaces designed by this year's suite of interior designers.

This year’s roster of designers and design firms includes Ally Coulter Designs, Amy Lau Design, By Noelia, Décor by Guillaume Gentet, Dineen Architecture + Design, Gary McBournie, Inc., Hollingsworth Design Associates, Justin Shaulis, Inc., Kapito Muller Interiors, Kara Mann Design, Laura Krey Design, Lillian August, Louis Navarrate, Matthew Patrick Smyth, Michael Tavano Design, Pamela Banker Associates, Patrick Hamilton, Rachel Laxer Interiors, Taylor Hannah Architects and Natalie Kraiem Interiors.

From a Kentucky Derby living room to a Versailles-inspired dining room to a Winter Solstice kitchenette, designers took on their own interpretations of holidays, giving visitors plenty of ideas for celebration.

Here’s a look at a few of the spaces:
