Spring 2024

Kirkby Design’s spring 2024 collections focus on sustainability and the environment, experimenting with new, responsibly sourced fibers and drawing inspiration from nature. The distinctive Kirkby aesthetic is ever present, with bold geometrics and contemporary weaves leading the way in the hero collection, Graphic Nature. Ultramodern and technically innovative, its designs are crafted from natural fibers such as hemp and bamboo or recycled yarns. Aloe is a fluid, sustainable sheer befitting its namesake fiber. Perennially popular vegan leather Laser is now produced through a more eco-friendly process. And Chelsea, Kirkby’s staple linen, is Oeko-Tex certified and available in a fresh palette.

Aloe is a groundbreaking, washable, wide-width sheer drapery textile comprising 60 percent aloe vera and 40 percent organic cotton. Because the plant grows chemical- and fertilizer-free and does not require watering, aloe vera fiber is more sustainable than conventional materials. Hung vertically or horizontally, Aloe’s transparency allows light to filter through, creating minimal blocks of color. A calming neutral palette is punctuated with on-trend shades such as Acid Yellow and Cobalt Blue

Inspired by natural patterns found in marble, Glint is woven from cotton and ethically produced silk known as ahimsa, which is spun from the cocoons left behind by silkworms after they’ve hatched. The contrasting appearance of matte and lustrous yarns gives the design a sense of depth and movement
