The fall 2023 collection debut focuses on lighting, Ngala’s first and most celebrated product category. New designs use natural materials including jacaranda seedpods, jacaranda wood and imfibinga beads to tell the story of African design. The organic shape of the jacaranda seedpods and the symmetrical sphere of the porcupine globe create pendants that double as suspended works of biolithic art. The collection also expands on crocheted and hand-cut leather lighting, as well as additions from brand partners Egg Design (Pod table lamps) and Clarisse Design (pendants crafted of naturally dyed leather leaf clusters). Lighting is sustainably and ethically made in Africa.
